Several challenges emerged during the implementation. The unique business requirements specific to the lightning industry prevented the system from going live due to its complexity and excessive conflicting inputs. Additionally, the lack of streamlined processes impeded progress. Furthermore, BA Software joined mid-project, requiring time to understand the business and its processes, which further delayed implementation.
A third-party provider stalled the implementation due to other priorities and resource constraints. The EDI provider set a timeline for transitioning to the new ERP because the older ERP couldn’t support integration. The business’s reliance on a legacy ERP system for over 20 years made the adoption of NetSuite particularly challenging. Moreover, NetSuite’s performance was slower compared to the legacy ERP system, adding to the difficulties faced.

We created a detailed training plan for each business unit to boost end-user confidence. Additionally, due to time constraints, we deferred as many tasks as possible to “Phase 2,” ensuring the initial implementation remained on schedule and effective.
